Brain Tracy – Science of Self Confidence

  • Due to cells dying and replenishment, we get a new body every 7 years. So what we think is our food for our mind/brain to grow.
  • Law of Concentration – Anything we dwell upon grows into our reality.
  • Control Thoughts – Only think what you want
  • Law of correspondence – Outer world will be a near image reflection of your inner world.
  • Happy people follow and live by the universal laws
  • Think of understand the values you hold
  • What will I stand for, not stand for. Pay for... understand your priorities.
  • Write out an ultimate goal and it will give you peace of mind.
  • Integrity is perfect
  • True values are only apparent by what you do – Choices decide who you are.
  • Perfect integrity – Trust yourself – Live by your values the better they become
  • Happiness is a condition
  • Habit of setting and achieving – Believe yourself – Positive knowing
“I’m unstoppable and can do anything I put my mind too”
  • Law of cause and effect – What you sew you will reap.
  • Law of attraction – Like attracts like – You attract in all directions with clear goals you get clear results
  • Thoughts are the most powerful in your universe
  • Law of substitution – You can only hold one though at one time – What your conscious mind stays with, your sub-conscious mind will accept
  • Law of emotion – Every decision, every thought, decision you take is based on an emotion
“I am an irresistible force of nature”
  • Turns inner thoughts to outer reality – Stronger emotion is easier

The 4 C’s
  1. Clarity – Know exactly what you want to accomplish and who to become
  2. Conviction – Believing you can do anything you put your mind too
  3. Commitment– Willingness to do what it takes
  4. Consistency – Say and do what you need every day until you achieve what you want

All above = Confidence
  • Priority – Set goals with what you would like to achieve if you have 6 months left to live – If you set goals you’re in the top 3%
  • List all your problems and then answer them
  • Before you have something, you must do something
  • Break down big goals to 30~60 days
  • Don’t always talk about goals
  • Each day write out goals as if they were already in process

POSITIVE KNOWING
  • Outer limit is decided by you
  • Self-esteem – How much you like yourself
  • Self-efficiency
  • No-one is coming to the rescue – Self – responsibility
  • Do what you LOVE to do
  • Law of accommodation – Every great life or career is constantly moving towards the goal that you want. Everything positive towards the goal gives you credit.
  • Grade yourself honestly 1/10
  • 95% of what your do and say is caused by suggestion
  • Every situation is a positive situation if viewed as an opportunity for growth
  • Have an inverse Paranoid behaviour – Know everyone is out to make your life better
“I CAN DO IT”
  • Recall previous times you were successful
  • See yourself performing perfect and other people responding

3 P’s for affirmations:

  1. Positive
  2. Personal
  3. Present Tense
  • What gets thanked gets repeated – Thank people for their time.
  • Golden rule of human relationships – Treat others how you would treat yourself
  • Always say what you mean
  • Be specific – Repeat behaviour
  • Praise in public as much as possible – Gives other person extreme confidence and self-esteem
Highest form of flattery:

  • Good listening -
  1. Listen attentively
  2. Face the person
  3. Listen as if you have all the world
  4. Pause before answering
  5. Question for clarity – What? Who? Why?
  6. Paraphrase what the person is saying – What you’re saying is....
  7. Remember listening builds trust
  • What is it in me that cause a person to feel like this?
  • Make other person feel important
  • Law of control – Feel positive to the degree you are in control
  • Internal locus of control – In control of yourself
  • People problem – Handle straight forward, people prefer it.
  • What the mind harbours, the body shows it.
  • People who comfort on a regular basis are healthy physically and mentally
  • As infants we are afraid of nothing and completely trusty
  • Children are spontaneous – Do anything they want
  • Children are completely uninhabited – No need to please anyone
  • Adults change from this because of parents trying to control them for example with constructed criticism
  • Assertiveness – Stand for you in every situation – Self-esteem
  • Full responsibility for you – I want, I’m not happy with this...
  • Do not blame or criticise
  • Dealing with an upset person – I understand exactly how you feel, if I were in your situation I’d feel exactly the same.
  • Repeat message – I want you to clean your room. Repeat – Will be absorbed.
  • Silence is a good assertiveness tool
  • Ask for time for a decision – I would like a little time to think this over.
  • Persistence = Will Win
  • Refuse to become discouraged by defeats
  • Be equal to the occasion
  • Expect trouble as a normal part of life, stand up and look it in its eyes and say “you will not beat me”.
  • Can tell how for someone will go in life by how they react to frustration, defeat and disappointment.
Mental Tools
  1. Reason the entire attitude – No success is won without defeat
  2. Crisis anticipation – Think of everything that could go wrong and plan for them.
  3. Clear values, clear goals and clear plans
  • Persistence = Courage – Never give up.
  • Ability to identify my limiting step then eliminate it – Limiting step is if you’re walking down the road with 3 adults and a small child, you cannot go faster than the small child can walk. That is a limiting step.

Everyone is engineered for success but programmed for failure

4 D’s:
  • Desire – Really want to become a great person
  • Decision – Make a do or die decision to stick with it
  • Determination – Beat the comfort zone. PERSIST!
  • Discipline – Make yourself do what you should do whether you want to or not.
POSITIVE KNOWING NOT POSITIVE THINKING
  • Everything you do is either moving you away or to your goals
  • Make the most from the more you learn
SUCCESS IS PROBABILITY
  • High road to success is to act like it is impossible to fail and it shall become true.
